Oren Cass is an American political advisor and public policy commentator. He is the founder of American Compass, a conservative think tank.
Cass has worked on the presidential campaigns of Mitt Romney in 2008 and 2012. He was also a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research from 2015 to 2019.

Initially, Cass worked as an associate consultant at Bain & Company from 2005 to August 2009. He was also the manager at the company from February 2014 to March 2015.
Later in February 2020, Cass founded American Compass based in Washington, D.C. After serving as the executive director at American Compass till June 2024, Cass has been involved as a chief economist there since July 2024.
Cass is also an author. He published a book titled The Once and Future Worker in 2018, which reevaluated American economics, society, and public policy.
