Sean Weatherston is a physical therapist from Nampa, Idaho. He will appear as a contestant on the popular quiz game show, Jeopardy! this season.


A massive Jeopardy, he has been watching America’s favorite quiz show since the eighties when Jeopardy was relaunched with iconic host Alex Trebek. He always thought of qualifying to appear on the show one day.

Finally, his dream came into reality as he got an opportunity to compete on the show. He will make his Jeopardy debut on the new episode which airs on 19 July 2023.

There, he will compete against returning champion David Bederman, an attorney from Los Angeles, California. Likewise, his other competitor will be Liz Cotrufello,  a 4th Grade Teacher from Broomall, Pennsylvania.

David is a new-one-day champion, who won the 18 June episode of the show yesterday. In an interesting episode, he defeated two-day winner Daniel Moore by just $1. Moreover, he will return as a champion with a whopping one-day winnings of $28,401.


Well, Jeopardy is in its 39th season of syndication which has been airing since 1984. It is now hosted by Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik after the death of veteran host Alex Trebek in 2020.

There, contestants are given general knowledge clues in the form of answers and they must identify the person, place, thing, or idea that the clue describes, phrasing each response in the form of a question.

Currently, he serves as an owner of Altitude Physical Therapy based in Caldwell, Idaho. He has been operating the physical therapy service since 2005.

Sean also teaches orthopedics for the Physical Therapist Assistant program at the College of Western Idaho. West Valley Medical Center for six years.

Jill is a graduate of Ricks College and Brigham Young University and holds a job in the education sector. She has been serving as an English language teacher at Iowa Elementary School for several years.

Together, Sean and his wife Jill are the parents of five children. They have four sons and a daughter named Sydney Weatherston French.

One of their sons, Jonah Weatherston is a missionary at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Moreover, Sean’s two children are married now and they made him the grandparents of four grandchildren.
