Gigante recently won his maiden Challenger title in the 2023 Tenerife Challenger III in Tenerife, Spain. After receiving a lucky loser spot in the main draw, he went on a run to collect his maiden ATP Challenger Tour title there.

Eventually, he became the first lucky loser champion on the Challenger Tour since 2018, when American Tommy Paul won in Charlottesville and just the 16th lucky loser champion in Challenger history.
