Michael Menkhus Wikipedia: The Jeopardy Contestant’s Family & Personal Life Explored

Michael Menkhus is a data analyst from Kansas City, Missouri. He is a Jeopardy contestant who is competing on the 40th season of the longest running quiz game show.

Well, Jeopardy is inviting old contestants instead of new ones in their currently airing season due to the WGA strike changes. He is now a one of the contestants of the Jeopardy! Champions Wildcard tournament.


Menkhus has now reached the final of the tournament from Group 1. He won the last semifinal match of the group which aired on 31 January 2024.

There, he faced two previous season champions Ron Cheung, an Economics professor from Lakewood, Ohio and Erin Portman, a High School English Teacher from Naperville, Illinois. He emerged as the winner of the episode leading in all rounds and had total winnings of $17,800.

On the Group 1 final of the ongoing tournament, he will face Juveria Zaheer, a psychiatrist from Whitby, Ontario, Canada, and Andy Tirrell, a political science and international relations professor from San Diego, California.


Michael made his first appearance on Jeopardy!, competing on the 39th season of the show in 2022. Eventually, he became a winner of the 22 and 23 September episode. He had total winnings of $48,402 + $2,000 on that season.

Michael Menkhus has reached the age of 27 now. He was born in 1996 and blows out his birthday candle in the month of July.

As per wiki, he is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and was raised by his parents there. A Jeopardy! fan, he has been watching his show with his grandparents since her was young.

In his first appearance on the show, he even shared a sweet moment from his childhood with the host Ken Jennings. He even mentioned his late grandma, stating,
